Cross country poem
WALT: Use poetic verse to recount an event we participated in.
The cross country event was usual enough; it had the green grass, the blue sky, the wonderful students, the hundreds of cones and even the finishing flags
My friends, my classmates and I did what kids do
Paced ourselves so we did well
Kicked the rustling leaves
Almost tripped because we were so puffed
Felt great because we were at halfway
Amazingly caught up to 1st 2nd 3rd
Felt amazing when going through the flags
Congratulated other students
Doing amazingly well
